What parents say about Wee Watch…
“It is with a very heavy heart that we are leaving, Shabana is so amazing – I truly cannot say enough great things about how kind she is and what wonderful work she does with the children. Matt and I are in awe with how much Edith has discovered and learned since starting with Shabana. We are also so pleased with the entire Wee Watch organization and will continue to be a big advocate for your care when we talk to other parents.
Edith got early acceptance into the daycare in our neighbourhood, which eventually will become her before and after school care. It’s right around the corner from our house. Currently, we are travelling about 20-30 minutes to get Edie to Shabana’s each day and I am borrowing a neighbours car on cold days. This will make life much easier and an opportunity we cannot pass despite how sad we are to leave Wee Watch. If we lived in Shabana’s neighborhood we would absolutely be staying.
I am planning to write a letter of reference to give both Shabana and Wee Watch so other families considering her for home care can know what a wonderful job she does. She is definitely a great value to Wee Watch.
Thank you for all of your help.” ~ Lauren
“I wanted to send a quick note to say how happy we are with Zulekha’s care of our daughter. She’s been an amazing support for our family every step of the way, and we are so grateful that we found out about Wee Watch. I wrote a quick note to Zulekha about how wonderful it’s all been and wanted to share it with you as well:
As we approach the end of 2015 I would like to take this opportunity to express our most profound gratitude for everything you’ve done for Susanna since she joined your care this past August. We were definitely nervous about making the transition to full- time care when it was time to go back to work, since my husband and I had both cared for Susie full-time since she was born, and she had barely interacted with other kids before she turned one. Not to mention the fact that she is a picky eater, an intermittent napper (at best), and so attached to her mommy that even her grandparents didn’t want to look after her! But she thrived under your care right away. You were so patient and loving and kind with her that soon she didn’t want to come home at the end of the day. It is such a pleasure to drop her off for your hug every weekday morning, and she is never too excited about coming home. She’s learned so many new words and skills, like colouring, painting, singing, dancing, and playing nicely with other kids. You have gotten her to eat meat and vegetables that she would never touch at home, and thanks to you she finally takes regular naps for the first time in her life. These days she finds her boots and scarf and starts saying your name as soon as she’s finished breakfast.
We could not be happier with the care you’ve provided through Wee Watch, and we feel so fortunate to have you as part of our lives now! Thanks again for everything you’ve done for Susie in 2015.
Thanks you all for the amazing support and the very welcomed updates from Karen.” ~Ellen
